Unrealistic goals could lead to a tough and demanding exercise program that may be discouraging. Your goals should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. Your goals should be clearly defined in a manner that anyone can understand what the outcome is. It should also be quantifiable. Wanting to reduce your body fat percentage by 7% over the next 90 days is measurable. In addition, you goals needs to be attainable so that frustration and discouragement can be avoided. With that being said, your goals must also be realistic if you expect to succeed. Finally, your goal should have a specific date/time of completion. It should be realistic but not too far in the distant future.
